Ridgefield officer hit by car after breaking up house party

A Ridgefield Police officer was struck by a car as he responded to a noise complaint and found an underage drinking party. 

Police say Officer Larry Clarke arrived at the Rolling Ridge Road home early Thursday morning to find 21 underage people and charged the party's host, 18-year old Sarabvir Kukeja, with providing alcohol to minors. 

The teens parents weren't home.  

The officer then tried to stop a car driven by 18-year old Julio Martinez Junior, but the Danbury teen knocked him over.  Martinez is now charged with assault of a police officer, interfering with the duties of an officer, evading responsibility, reckless driving and disobeying an officer's orders. 

Danbury Hospital says Officer Clarke was treated and released.
