A pair of brothers have been arrested for the assault of a Brewster teen that sent the 17-year old to Danbury Hospital in critical condition last Friday. The Putnam County Sheriff's Office reports that 19-year old Jonathan and 17-year old Michael Owoo of North Salem were arrested yesterday on assault-related felony charges.
A fight involving 50 to 60 youths broke out in a parking lot at a Route 22 business early last Friday morning leaving a teen with a fractured skull, cerebral hemorrhaging and hearing loss from repeated blows to the head with a baseball batt and socket wrench.
The brothers are being held in Jail on 150-thousand dollars bond. They will be back in court on the 19th.
A judge has issued orders of protection stating that the brothers must stay away from the 17 year old victim and an 18-year old boy who was also briefly hospitalized. If convicted of the most serious charge, each faces up to 25-year in prison.
