The state Medical Examiner's office has released the cause of death for a 23-year old New York man died in Ridgefield on Sunday. Alexander Bergman died of drowning. A complete autopsy report on the Somers man is still pending.
A massive search, including some 75 rescue workers, was launched Sunday afternoon.
The man had been staying at a Ridgebury Road home with friends, who told police he was last seen wearing swim trunks leaving the property. An initial search of the pool turned up nothing because the water was murky, but that is where Bergman's body was found Monday night.
