A Bridgeport man has been arrested in Redding for damaging two police cruisers. Weston Police say officers from the two towns were responding to reports of a vehicle involved in two accidents on Route 53.
Jamie Gonzalez was stopped near the Redding line, but backed into one police cruiser before taking off on foot. Police say he hit officers and punched out the window of a second cruiser.
Weston police say that's when Gonzalez was Tasered. He was treated at Norwalk Hospital after being subdued.
Charges against the man are pending.
