A New Jersey man has been arrested for the death of a Ridgefield man in Montclair on Sunday. 21-year old Ernest Williams Junior was charged Friday with murder, robbery and two weapons crimes for the death of 21-year old Brian Schiavetti.
Police say the Villanova University senior died of multiple gunshot wounds during a robbery at an apartment that did not belong to him. Police did not say who lived at the apartment or why the 2009 Ridgefield High School graduate was there.
Williams is being held on $750,000 bond for arraignment on Tuesday.
The case remains open as the investigation continues.
