Police investigate 'untimely death' of Ridgefield woman

Ridgefield police are investigating the untimely death of a woman on Tackora Trail this week.  Police say the woman's death is not being considered a murder.  They have also retracted an earlier statement to The Ridgefield Press that the woman's death was an accident. 

The road was closed through Friday morning as investigators worked at the scene. 

Police have not identified the woman or said how she died.
