The Interim Director of Danbury Library will soon be appointed as Director. The City Council will take up the appointment of Michele Capozzella at their meeting on August 7th.
She says they are working on plans for the bank space next door which include the possibility for an internet cafe and programming space with direct access to that annex.
The New Jersey native worked at her town library at the age of 16, the same library where her mother worked in youth services. Prior to coming to Danbury, Capozzella served as head of teen services in Chappaqua for more than a decade.
Capozzella was assistant director for two years before stepping up to fill the role held by Mark Haskarl, who resigned at the start of this year.
