It was a month ago today that more than 600 HealthBridge-owned nursing home workers walked off the job and started striking against the five Connecticut facilities, including Danbury Health Care Center.
Union Spokeswoman Debra Chernoff says the State Labor Department has ruled that striking workers are eligible for unemployment benefits. A National Labor Relations Board ruling this week also found the owner violated federal labor laws on multiple occassions.
HealthBridge has accused some workers of sabotage before going on strike.
According to a Danbury Police report, officers found that residents medical wristbands were removed as well as IDs on room doors and wheelchairs.
