More than 250 people turned out for a jobs fair on Friday at West Conn's West side campus. The event was co-sponsored by Congressmen Chris Murphy and Jim Himes.
Himes says over 60 companies took part, including local companies like Praxair and Boeringer Ingelheim. There were also government agencies such as the Secret Service and the FBI who are looking for new employees.
Himes says there are still too many people out of work and Friday's attendance is real proof of that.
He notes that there were a lot of white collar jobs for people in everything from marketing to public service.
