State Police to ticket illegally parked cars in Kent by trail

Traffic enforcement is being stepped up in Kent near the Appalachian Trail and Housatonic River.  Cars being parked on the side of the road and garbage being left behind is plaguing the area near Bulls Bridge. 

There was a meeting this week by local, state and federal officials along with private entities who have a stake in the area, to figure out what to do to protect the environment. 

State Police will start ticketing cars parked outside of the designated area on Route 7 near the bridge.
