12-year old injured in boat accident on Lake Zoar

A 12-year old girl fell off the back of a speed boat on Lake Zoar yesterday afternoon and injured her leg. 

The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection says the accident happened around 4pm in Monroe.  The Naugatuck girl was apparently watching a person on a tube being towed by the boat when she fell.

Her leg was cut by the boat's propeller. 

She is being treated at Bridgeport Hospital for non life threatening wounds.
