There were coyote sightings in Danbury this week. Now two nature preserves in Weston have been closed due to aggressive coyotes.
A Code Red alert was issued in Weston Friday morning about the Taylor Woods-Thorp Preserve and the Tall Pines Preserve. The town's animal control officers says the Aspetuck Land Trust Nature Preserves are closed until further notice.
There have been no reported attacks in Weston. In Danbury, at least two residents say their pets were attacked by a coyote. Mayor Mark Boughton says the City is searching for a licensed trapper. Officials are asking people to keep animals indoors if possible.
