A Ridgefield teen has been arrested for a house party held in Ridgefield earlier this year. The arrest of 18-year old Maxwell Jewett brings the total number of teens charged for the April incident to 16.
Police said in a press release issued Friday that the teens broke into a North Street home while the family was away, drank and stole $48,000 worth of jewelry. Only some of the stolen items have been recovered after being found at a Danbury pawn shop.
Jewett was charged with criminal tresspass, delivery of alcohol to a minor, making a false statement and tampering with evidence. He turned himself in to police a week ago.
Police do not expect any more arrests.
