The Redding Police Department has put out an alert about a missing item. Police Chief Douglas Fuchs says a digital speed sign on Cross Highway was stolen on Saturday.
He says Thursday was the final day of "no questions asked" if the sign, worth about $4,700 was turned into the police station.
The sign is GPS enabled and the company that makes it has been contacted to begin tracking it. The sign hasn't been turned in so if it's found through the location technology, Fuchs says those in possession of it will be charged with felony larceny.
