A longer than expected construction project in Redding is making for an expensive ride to school for some kids. Town officials were hoping that the Poverty Hollow Road construction was going to be finished before the August 29th start of the school year, but there were some delays.
Poverty Hollow Road is closed from Meeker Hill Road to Stepney Road while the bridge work is being done.
Since the project is on-going, buses have had to be rerouted and a smaller vehicle brought in.
The road should be reopened by Thursday.
