The woman who was assaulted as she walked in on a burglary at her New Fairfield home last month has described the suspect to police. State Police have now released a sketch of the man, who was described by the victim as a black man with no facial hair, brown eyes, about 30-years old old and 6-feet tall.
State Police say a woman entered her Newfane Road home on the morning of September 25th and was confronted by the man. The suspect assaulted her and then fled the scene. A search of the area by troopers, K-9 teams and others did not turn up the suspect.
Detectives believe the man was walking in the area about a week before the assault.
The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to call the New Fairfield Residents state Troopers office at 203-312-5701.
