West Conn events promote Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Operation Jungle Red features four lectures on different topics.  Tomorrow, State Attorney General George Jepson will be the keynote speaker about violence and the law. 

Operation Jungle Red started in Ohio to commemorate the deadly shootings at Virginia Tech and end senseless violence on college campuses. 

West Conn officials say a cornerstone of the events in Danbury are that students receive a pledge card and have their pinky nail painted red.  Litchfield Hall Resident Director Rafael Cordwell is leader of the anti-violence movement at WestConn and started the event last year.
