The warden of the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury will enter a program for first time DUI offenders. 51-year old Maureen Baird was charged with drunk driving in April for a January accident.
If she completes the one year program involving counseling services and alcohol education classes, the charge will be taken off her record.
In January, Baird was in a roll over accident near West Conn's midtown campus and had to be extricated from her vehicle. She was treated at Danbury Hospital, but not charged.
Police Chief Al Baker reportedly reopened the case after anonymous phone calls about the incident. Hospital records show she had a blood alcohol level more than three times the legal limit.
